SUNDAY December 5: Girls night at The Black Rose! Absolutely no guys allowed. Head on over for some drinks and partying.
I walked to the door as i slipped my coat on.
"Hey," I smiled at David, opening the door.
"Sorry i'm late," He ran his hand through his hair. He looked stressed and tired.
"Are you okay?" I slung my bag over my shoulder and walked outside, locking the door behind me.
He sighed, "Just a little stressed. Poppy completely forgot to pick up Avery and we got into a little fight."
"Do you want to just stay in?"
He shook his head as we walked down the sidewalk, "No. You ditched girls night for me and i want to take you out."
"Where are you taking me anyway?" I asked him, buttoning my coat as i began to feel the cold. If there was one thing i didn't like about Boston it was the weather. I thought New York was bad but the weather here was 10 times colder.
"Nowhere special. I was just thinking about going to this new burger place i found."
"So then why don't we just get it to go and go back to my place?" I asked him. Honestly, i was cold and horny.
He smirked, "I'm starting to think you just want me for my body..."
"You know that's not true," I smiled, snuggling closer to him. Partly to keep warm and partly because it had been awhile since we'd been together.
"I know, i'm just teasing."
We walked for a few more minutes before coming up to the restaurant. I followed David inside and towards a booth.
"So how has work been for you?" David asked as we looked through our menus.
I bit my lip, this was weird. I don't even remember a time when me and David were dating and not living together and i wasn't used to having to review everything that had happened lately.
"Good, i guess. Poppy called in sick on Friday."
He quirked an eyebrow, "Really?"
I nodded, "She didn't tell you?"
"No. We were a little busy fighting."
"Maybe something is going on with her.."
"And she's not telling me?"
I shrugged, "I don't know. Maybe she's still not feeling well. All i'm saying is to not be too hard on her."
"Daisy, she totally forgot to pick Avery up. That's ridiculous."
"I guess," I said, closing my menu. "You ready to order?"
He nodded, "Yeah."
"And there's no chance in changing your mind about taking it to go?" I grinned, biting my lip.
"Fine. But only because it's been way to long and i'm tired."
"Well my plans don't really include much resting," I got out of my seat.
David laughed, pulling me closer, "I knew there was a reason i loved you."
