"Vidia!" Antonia, a new intern [and hopefully my new assistant] called into the blackberry frantically. She was on the phone with Vidia Wild, a new model B&N was going to debut for the March issue. I had put Tony in charge of the models where abouts and such & she was definitely good at it.
We were at one of the vintage-ish cafes in downtown Rome, shooting a 20's styled spread for the March issue. I had styled, designed and was photographing the shoot, feeling totally proud and accomplished of myself. I was finally moving up. And it was about time.
"Ton!" I called taking my camera in my hands. Antonia twirled around and snapped her phone shut on whomever she'd been talking to, walking over to me with an eager expression on her face.
"Yes?" She asked.
"Wheres Vidia?" I asked, glancing at the other models, all dolled up in their extreme makeup and 20's Versace flapper dresses.
Tony bit her lip, ready to probably comment on my blown out hair or the beautiful set, when Vidia ran into the cafe. Her blonde hair was tied up in a knot and her outfit was a mess.
Tony took her arm and immediately rushed her over to the make up vanity and hairstylist, a grin plastered on her face saying , "All taken care of."
I smiled too, because I knew how Tony had felt. She didn't want to let the boss down and look stupid while doing it. I'd been in that place once, but now that I had people working below me, I could easily relate to them the positions they were often put in.
Enough with the stressing. I'm so ready to shoot this spread!
