a.k.a. Heart Attack waiting to happen

When I was a teen living on my own - way before I was supposed to be living on my own (16 and 17 - I wasn't a runaway, I was abandoned and working 3 jobs) - I would look forward to Sunday brunch and hanging out at the artistic coffee shop on the East Side - Brewster's. I happened across this sandwich : ham and dill Havarti on a croissant, warmed up and melted - all kinds of gooeyness! Add caffeine and cream to the mix and whoa - it's a good thing that I had this only every few Sundays. It was a place where I could hang out for hours, passing the time with tons of people (because the library wasn't open late). I could read the newspaper, draw, write and observe people. Even though I still don't know how I made it, a peaceful Sunday brunch is still the highlight of my week when I am able to get to them. It means even during the tough times, I can still take a break and enjoy some peace. Happy Sunday, y'all.
