He was panting, in terrible condition. His nerves were getting to him, he wondered if someone hadn't already found out about him. What if she had told someone, what if that needle was going to kill him? "My men...?" he asked "are....doing well?" he said inbetween his winces.

Alice sighed as she looked down at his legs, ''I'm not allowed give you chloroform to make you unconscious, but I can give you a painkiller,'' She explained to him slowly in Hungarian as before, hurriedly going over to the press and getting out a fresh syringe and some morphine, filling it up almost completely. Lord knows he would need it. - @anahelenaliveshere

He let out a groan and gestured to his legs "pain" he said inbetween his breathing. Everything was spinning, why couldn't they just knock him out, they were capable of it weren't they? Stupid foreigners, he couldn't help the thoghts that spilled into his head.

Alice already knew who she was talking about when she had first come in. she merely .nodded and hurried back to his private bed, looking at him pityfully before ordering the nurses to go and get items, including a cloth for him to bite down on. Now they were alone, he could say what was wrong.

The younger nurse simply nodded with the situation, she made no assumptions but...everyone gossiped. She smiled and led Alice back to the tent. "He hasn't said anything but mutter nurse and, we assumed you were the only one to treat him". Laslo was in pain again, it was in his legs. He was sure they were broken or something but he couldn't scream out in pain, no words.

Alice merely stared at him for a moment, letting hurt flash in her baby blue orbs as she looked up at him, just to ensure his trust as she swiftly moved her arm out of his grip and put on an act of formality, clearly forced. She bowed her head slightly, her voice a disappointed mumble as she spoke, keeping her head down, ''Excuse me for taking up your precious time Major,'' And with that, she was gone. - @anahelenaliveshere

"Please" he grabbed her arm and pulled her back "I can assure you I have good reason, if they knew you would have no way of leaving and I wont have you dying out there" he shook his head, he was acting a bit like a fatherly figure but he didn't care, he only wanted her safe. Just then a nurse slipped into the tent "Alice is being called for in the Tent sir, it's urgent"

Alice said no more, merely stepping back from him and gathering her equipment. She would be more appreciated somewhere else anyway. "I'll leave before someone sees you speaking to a, mere nurse," She mumbled under her breath as she brushed past, glancing at him just to guarantee him crawling back eventually. - @anahelenaliveshere

- haha, as laslo rolls around in need of a nurse - The Major wanted so depserately to put passion in his return of the kiss but in a hasty attempt to make sure no one had walked in he ripped her away, holding her by the sides of her arms. "Please" he shook his head, once day perhaps but not this day, even with the things he felt for her.

Alice couldn't help it, she knew that it was time to use her secret weapon to guarantee information in the near future, while she still could...she finished covering up the healing wound as she rose slightly and let her hand move up his bare chest to rest on the side of his neck, her lips meeting his in a soft brush of a kiss. Just like the last time. She wasn't using him, really, a part of her had grown to care for him...but she was such a talented actress by now. - @anahelenaliveshere -- i swear that this is still a laslo/alice plot, she just needed to woo the major :p

"I would" he said firmly but looked away, just in time to catch the sound of his name being yelled outside. "Oh damn" he thought to himself, he couldn't help but hope for just a few more moments with her. He took a deep breath. "I assure you, there would be many, you do not realize it but your services are beyond important"

Alice let her hand rest on his chest as he confessed to her, the small, soft smile still etched on her lips as she watched him not seeing any hint of a lie in his words and that was what hurt the most. ''Like I said before Jamie, I am not considered important, I have no one to miss me if they do what you fear,'' She told him softly, and it reality that was how she felt. - @anahelenaliveshere

"Of course and there is nothing to worry about now, we're driving them back but I'm afraid they will come with more soon" he said taking a deep breath. "I worry for you in the tent, I feel as though there would be the first to attack" he said, looking down at her. "After all, many of us are wounded and many easy to take down"

Alice murmured a soft apology as she continued to carefully cleanse his wound, being gentle with her actions even though it was nearly healed as the last thing she needed was him to get an infection. Then how would she find out what was going on? She paused after a few moments of silence, her voice a pathetic whisper as she looked up at him with her big blue eyes, ''But you would tell me if things got that bad again wouldn't you? You wouldn't keep me in the dark,'' - @anahelenaliveshere

"Don't say things like that" he was a very superstitious man "or else they might as well occur" he said, looking over at the map hanging on the wall behind her. "Everything happens all at once" he said with a sigh, his eyebrows furrowed as he thought of how that evening had progressed and what other things seemed to have followed.

Alice shook her head once again, dabbing a damp piece of cotton wool on the forming scar on his front. The same one her hand had first tended to before their lips met. ''I was more frightened for what could have happened out there, 'm terrified that the next time I see you you will be on a stretcher,'' She confessed to him in a soft whisper, it was the truth but she made it sound more realistic. - @anahelenaliveshere

There was a hint of reddish hue upon his cheeks, he was a grown man but of course the sweetest of voices could cause him to melt into a puddle. He looked down for a moment "I meant no harm, still embarrassed if that changes anything" his sentences were choppy. He needed to focus on his plans for the field.

''..and you deserve the rest,'' Alice finished the sentence off for him as she moved to kneel down in front of him, which would have looked very provocative especially due to her uniform, but it was the best option for her to apply he bandage on his lower chest. But as she began to ever so gently remove the old bandage she thought back to how it happened, how the both of them had acted together, ''You gave me such a fright that night,'' - @anahelenaliveshere

The Major nodded "yes of course but I work myself much to much" he chuckled. "There is a war though, obviously" he chucklked, he really thought he was clever. "But sometimes we must rest" he let out a wince.

But Alice merely shook her head with a kind smile as she prepared the bandage for placing, he was nearly fully healed but she was a nurse that didn't like to take any risks. "Your work is more important than I am, you have no reason for forgiveness," She told him with the same soft smile. Alice gave him a slightly awkward smile as she unbuttoned her trench coat and hung it up on the wall, getting out her small bag of equipment and placing it on the table. "I won't be able to apply the fresh bandage over your shirt I'm afraid," She told him with a soft, sheepish smile as she gestured to the many layers he would have to take off his torso. - @anahelenaliveshere

"I'm sorry" he said, furrowing his brow as he tried to relax but how could you when there were shots being fired a few feet outside of where they stood. He smiled down at her "what can I do for you?" he looked over at the flap in the tent, silently hoping that no one would interrupt them.

Alice raised a hand as she smiled at him as if to tell him to stop, ''There is no need for the formalities Jamie, we're both on our break,'' She told him softly as she approached his desk and stood in front of him, there was certainly no need for formalities when the two of them had already held a once-off heated moment where they earned a first name basis. The things that war can make people do. She smiled the softest smile she could mange as she looked up at him, hoping that the effect they had on each other was still there. - @anahelenaliveshere -- that's fine :)

+ hey, sorry, this week is finals week so i wont be on much longer than an hour until thursday + The Major turned to the young woman and practically lost the entirety of his serious expression as he saw who it was. Of course he knew who it was just by hearing her, yes, he knew her that well. He shook those thoughts out of his head though, the war left no time to dilly dally. "Yes" he stood up, saluting briefly.

She was only doing this to put a wounded soldiers mind at ease, albeit an enemy soldier but a soldier nonetheless. But she wouldn't say this to the Major, she would play the helpless, beautiful girl card. Always worked wonders. She knocked gently on his door, "Major Stewart, may I come in for a moment? I need someone to talk to, I need you," She added the last part quietly. - @anahelenaliveshere

Laslo leaned back, his eyes drifting to a close. He was quite sure he might actually fall asleep but he found it best that he wait until she returned, what if he spoke in his dreams? The fear kept kicking at him. The Major was looking over papers, battle plan propositions from his fellow army men. None of which were particularly good, this was a problem considering everything that was happening on the battle field. He filed away some of them before resting his hand on the back of his neck and lettig out a long sigh.

She looked down at her watch, the Major would be just finished giving out the morning orders and would more than likely be on one of his many breaks. Perfect timing. She quickly rose so she was standing straight and took off her apron so that she was in the clean baby blue underdress, bringing her long blonde curly hair out of it's bun as she let hit cascade over her shoulders. ''You owe me so much, pretend you're sleeping and no one will bother you,'' She promised him in a sot murmur as she closed the door and left, making her way over to the Major's quarters. - @anahelenaliveshere

- how have you been? - He nodded, he finally felt relaxed and reached up to touch his chest. It did burn but not as much, the bandages felt like sand against his fingers, he tried to trace his wounds see how bad it was and when he fully realized how bad he let out a nervous chuckle. His eyes swooping back up to her, the other nurses were making him nervous, they were doing nothing wrong it was simply identification. He couldn't see himself which meant his appearance still had the possibility of being a threat.

She finished cleansing him in silence, taking the white bandage and applying it without a sound as there were nurses walking around and she didn't want them to be caught out. When she was applying the one t his head she leaned in and whispered gently in his ear in Hungarian, ''Nod if you want me to find out information of your barracks for you,'' She could use the Major, she could sense the s-xual tension he had around her. - @anahelenaliveshere

Alice stayed silent, deciding it was best for him to relax into his settings first and gain some trust for her so she could use him as well as the Major. A story is pointless without two sides. Alice's eyes flickered down to his face as she heard the accent, a Hungarian, he was getting closer to home every second...''A nyelv van a titok,'' (Your tongue(language) is your secret) she whispered to him in Hungarian as she began to wash a little lower on his chest, she shook her head at his reaction to the liquid to let him know that it was safe. ''As is your helmet..'' She added in a mumble under her breath, letting her own accent slip through for a moment before she silenced herself and continue her work. ( hahhaha, it's nice to have a translation around ) Laslo looked up at her and tried to open his mouth. He mouthed something along the lines of "ich habe kein Geheimnis" (I have no secret) and his head shook lightly. He sounded just as foreign to the language as she did and it made him panic a bit.
