Tasting note Made from a blend of Sicily’s indigenous varieties, this aromatic wine displays a luscious nose of pear, apple, honeydew-melon & banana. Typical of Sicilian whites, the wine is extremely juicy and broad in the mouth, but less typically, it also shows a bright acidity that refreshes the palate, and gives the wine a sense of structure more associated with wines from cooler regions. Country: Italy. Region: Sicily. Grape variety: Catarratto, Insolia, Greganico. Vintage: 2009. Bottle size: 75cl. For generations, the Tenuta Regaleali estate has been at the heart of the Tasca d'Almerita family's wine production. Cradled among the hills of inland Sicily, two nineteenth-century farm villas, surrounded by vines, bear witness to the island's rich agricultural heritage. The estate tells a story of man in contact with nature, a story of hard work done without haste. Regrettably, this product is non-returnable and non-exportable.
