Well, looks like I jinxed it. Polyvore is no longer working on my laptop, so now I'm on a super slow desktop. Ah, well. Italy. My friend recently visited here, and can I just say how absolutely jealous I am! I know a HUGE part of Italy is the food. Italian food. Where do I start? When I think Italy, I think olive oil, capers, saffron, basil, pesto, tomatoes, onions, garlic, eggplant, artichokes, zucchini, polenta, risotto, fish, proscuitto, sausage, cannoli, tiramisu, gelato, bread, cheese, wine, and of course, many, many different types of pasta and raviolli. To be honest, there isn't much that I don't think of when I think Italian food. In terms of clothes, I think of the major italian fashion houses: Gucci, Roberto Cavalli, Emilio Pucci, Ferragamo, Prada, Dolce & Gabbana, Armani, and Valentino. I really loved Dolce & Gabbana's SS AND FW 12 collections. Both screamed "Italy" to me. SS 12 was very warm and fun, and I loved the fruit and veggie patterns. FW 12 was darker, with gold, black and white being the main colors. The FW 12 jewelry really made me think Italian, with lots of gold and big jewels. Look at me, I sound like a fashion blogger! I also like to think very structured when it comes to Itlaian fashion. When I think of an italian woman, I think a Prada-esque pantsuit with leather loafers. I love Italy!
