[collab with miss @priscilla :DD]
I zoned the professor out as I started doodling on my notebook. This was exhausting. Why did I think that I could tolerate an 8 am class? Especially when I drank like a fish the night before and I was incredibly hung over. Plus this jacka.ss took attendance so coming was mandatory if you didn’t want your grades to suffer. This humanities class all in all sucked.
“Hey…” I heard someone whisper and I perked up looking at the guy to my right, “Hi.” He smiled, “I was wondering have you been coming to this class?” He whispered.
I nodded, “Yeah.” He was actually pretty cute… He looked a bit more clean-cut than my previous boyfriends, but who cares.
“Do you mind sharing your notes with me? I was stupid enough to miss most the classes and now I’m kind of paying for it. This class is required for my major and I don’t want to screw it up.”
I smiled at him and nodded, “Yes, definitely…”
The bell rang and we walked out together to find a table to sit at together.
“How come the teacher let you miss all those classes and still be able to catch up?” I asked, raising an eyebrow as we sat down.
“Well, I actually had to transfer from UT, so I had to talk to every teacher to see if I could just, you know, kind of jump in.” He shrugged.
I looked at him and smiled, he was really f*cking cute, “Okay.’ I said, taking my notebook out of my bag.
“Okay?” He asked with a smirk.
“Well yeah, I wouldn’t share them if you were just being a slob and not coming to class when I had to suck it up and wake up at seven f*cking am to get ready, but your story is believable and your accent proves your point.” I smirked. Not really, I would have shared regardless, but I just wanted to know why I hadn’t seen him in class yet.
He nodded, “Well, then I’m telling the truth. My name is Aisley.”
I smiled, “Nice to meet you Aisley… I’m Roxanne, but everybody calls me Rox.”
“I like that name.” He smiled, giving me a breathtaking grin. God he was so hot.
“Thank you.” I giggled, “So why Berkeley?” I asked him.
He shrugged, “Wanted to live in a different place and I thought why not California?”
I laughed, “True… so how is Texas?” I asked him, “Is it all cowboy boots and people who say ya’ll?
He laughed at me, “Well there are cowboy boots and people do say ya’ll, but I guarantee you that that’s not all there is. Austin isn’t really country. It’s more so a bunch of environmental technologic loving hippies.” He said smirking.
“Hippie?” I asked, confused.
“Oh yeah. There’s a nude beach on the lake.”
I laughed, “What? A nude beach?!”
He nodded, “Yeah, but it’s a lot of old people, so I don’t really recommend it, but nobody really cares, just a bunch of naked people.”
“I never would have thought of it…”
“Yeah, neither did I until I saw it once… There was an old guy laying on an inner tube.” He shuddered and I couldn’t help but laugh.
“That’s funny!” I grinned.
“Yeah well, you are allowed to laugh at my expense.” He smiled into my direction.
“Really?” I asked amused, “And why is that?” I added.
“Well you are kind of beautiful, so you are good to make fun of my bad experience.” He winked at me and I couldn’t help but chuckle.
“Oh you are good. Damn it, I almost fell for that one.” I smirked.
He smiled, “I am deeply sorry you think I’m kidding.” He said.
“No you are not. I haven’t walked away, have I?” I said, leaning my elbows on the table.
“Good point. Just so you know, I do think you are pretty gorgeous.” He said, flattering me.
“Oh Aisley, you are good, but I’m just better.” I smirked.
He laughed and leaned back against the wall, “Ok.”
“Ok?” I asked confused.
“Yeah, okay. I’m going to wait until you ask me out then.” He smiled.
“I’m going to ask you out?” I asked him, pretending to be shocked, “Shouldn’t you be asking me out? Isn’t that the gentlemanly thing to do?” I smirked at him.
“Why should I ask you out?” He laughed out.
I shook my head, pretending to be hurt, “You are putting your fellow Texans to shame, you know that? Aren’t you guys supposed to be complete gentlemen and ask the girls you like out?”
He sighed, “Fine… you know what? I will live up to your expectations Rox… Do you want to go out on a date with me?”
I smirked, kind of actually surprised with him. I know we were joking about a date, but I didn’t actually expect him to ask.
“Really?” I grinned, “This isn’t just a joke to pretend you’re actually a gentlemen?”
He shook his head, “No need to pretend from me. I am a gentlemen.” He winked.
I smiled, “Okay, I will go out on a date with you on one condition: it better be an awesome date because I’m lending you my notes.”
He laughed and crossed an x over his heart, “I promise. I will take you on an awesome date.”
I smiled, “Then good. I will go out on a date with you. Now I have to run to my Psych class. Here is my number,” I said, writing it down on a piece of paper, “And take good care of my notes because I need those back.” I winked at him, leaving my notebook with him as I grabbed my bag and walking off as I waved goodbye to him.
