Although she had never acknowledged his identity until very recently, Jo had always been her father's daughter. Being the only child of a barely-there single mother with drinking issues and a regular habit of occasionally eloping with strangers, Jo was practically left to do whatever she wished to. Because of her inborn vivacity and high-spiritedness, in combination with dyslexia and ADHD, she was quick to be dubbed a 'problem child' by most of her teachers and older acquaintances. However, this only added to the fact she'd started making herself a reputation: that of a rebel. She literally became what they call 'moving trouble', creating mayhem and havoc whenever possible. She was forced to switch several schools due to misbehavior and vandalism, and actually reached the point when no school in Tampa would accept her. Her mother enrolled her in a prestigious boarding school in Manhattan, claiming that the school policy there was laxer and more negligent.
And then it happened.
{I think I might elaborate later}

When not dancing, partying, or mixing strong liquor with coke, Jo may be found taking a walk in the Camp's vineyards, learning Aristophanes's comedy plays by heart, or humming Orpheus's lyrics.
