Thanks everyone, tried the heating again yesterday as I was home all day and it seems to be working ok again. My neighbour had a gas man turn up yesterday so could've been a problem somewhere further down the line. I've still got the boiler man coming tomorrow just to make sure!

I'm sat indoors in a thick cardigan and heavy dressing gown and thermal socks!! My boiler has decided to play up just as the weather has got really cold again. Got someone coming to have a look at it on Monday so a whole weekend of shivering :-(
