bleh. sucky story and sucky set. sorry i'm out of inspiration right now, but i'll get it back
"Wow!" I exclaimed as Leesh came out from Massie's bathroom, her pink dress delicately ruffling around her. It was the perfect dress for her.
I watched as Dylan and Claire came out in their dresses, all looking wonderful. Then it was my turn. I carefully picked up my dress and went into the bathroom, taking my time as I put it on. It was a $2,000 dress, and not mine. Dyl's mom had let me borrow it from the many gowns she had backstage at her show. Designers were always sending dresses to the set, in hopes that she would wear them somewhere. Luckily, some of them had messed up the sizing and I'd found the perfect dress in the perfect size. I stepped out and they all 'oohed' and 'ahhed'.
"That's definitely the one! Way better than the Marchesa would have been," Dyl praised, and then I turned to Massie. I could see her calculating my rating in her head.
"Definitely 9.8," she smiled, and I couldn't keep myself from grinning. That was really high, it must mean even she thought the dress was great. Massie was to the PC as Simon Cowell was to Idol - our toughest critic.
We all then waited expectantly for Massie to unveil her gown, and we were all blown away. It was gorgeous, but of course it was going to be. Massie had a way of always finding the perfect outfit for any occasion.
Isaac picked up all of our dates, and then we drove to the dance. Dempsey was the first to be picked up, and his eyes got wide when he saw me. Alicia burst out laughing, and the rest of the girls followed suit except for me. He blushed and I gave him a reassuring smile moving over so he could sit down, and I could sit on his lap. I shot the rest of the PC a glare and gave Dempsey a kiss - not just a peck, but not a full on makeout session either. Still, Dylan gave the inevitable, "Get a room!" comment and we all laughed.
Demps grabbed my hand as we walked into the dance, and we went and found the table we were assigned to. Leesh and Claire plus their dates were at our table too. We listened to whoever had hosted the party talk for about ten minutes, then I led Dempsey straight to the dance floor.
It was an amazing night.
