I remember pink used to be like my favorite color all throughout grade school.
Now it's like... I prefer shades of grey and misty whites.
Anyways, going to the outlet mall (so lucky Massachusetts has huge outlet malls) to buy school stuff and because my brother is making a fit about the shoes he wears. So apparently my mom bought him a cheap pair of those guy sandals from WalMart, and he won't go ANYWHERE with those... and his sneakers are ruined. TO justify? Apparently some kids in his school said that "you're gay if you're a boy and you wear sandals." Oh wow, this doesn't surprise me since kids can be cruel but wow... who's teaching them to be homophobic?
Omg and on the 25th my friends and I are going to a Gangnam Style flash mob at Harvard Square... YAY. This is going to be so much fun.
Hmm and I need to start planning out my science research for freshman year. I want to get into the realm of high school science competitions. In 8th grade I submitted my science fair project in which I tested the effects of UV irradiation on the common fruit fly, aiming to produce different phenotypic mutations (I was... and still a nerd, okay?). I won a couple of state awards and national awards. This year, I want to do something with nanotechnology since it's an interesting and exciting new field. I've been thinking of using nanotechnology to detect the harmful effects of UV radiation (skin tumors, harmful mutations, pyrimidine dimers, etc) and prevention (so broad and general, I know...) Be prepared to invest 400-1600 hours on this research project.
Oh and I'm going to my friend's house at night to play her games. Slenderman, IB, Fatal Frame, etc... all those awesome horror games that make you scream at night. I love summer, so stress free. Two bad it's only two weeks until school starts.
