hey! made it home safely from NYC. :) had a fabulous time but excited to be back home. here's the details on my outfit and what I did on Thursday, 12-27-2O12:

blog:
I got up at 5:30 and got dressed. We put our bags in the car and saw my grandparents off, then drove off ourselves. We had breakfast from Chick-fil-A lol. The drive was about five hours long, we stopped for lunch off of the New Jersey Turnpike. We got to New York City at about 1:30, checked into our hotel, which was the Affinia 50 in case you're wondering, and then went shopping. My dad went along as the "bagboy" haha. First we went to H&M, which was super crowded and had the longest lines, so I only got one thing there, a metallic blue sweater on sale for $10, and my mom got one thing, and we had my dad wait in line for us while we went to Forever 21. Forever 21 was crazy crowded and super loud, but I got a lot of stuff there. My dad met up with us when we were done and we spent quite some time looking for Sephora. We found Sephora haha and I got four things there. Then we walked around some, and walked through Bryant Park, which had a lovely ice skating rink and Christmas tree. I loved the little shops, they reminded me of Chicago, where my dad used to work. I lived in a suburb of Chicago, and every holiday season we would go and buy ornaments from the little ornament shops and go to Macy's for Santa. whoops getting sentimental.

haha anyways, after that we went to the New York Public Library and took a look around inside, I visited a free exhibit called Lunch Hour with my mom--my dad had to stay outside of the exhibit with the bags haha. Then we went to dinner at the Bryant Park Grill, which was pretty good. I had a mozzarella and tomato salad for an appetizer, but the tomatoes were too salty, so I didn't like that a whole lot. For my main course (lol I sound all stuck-up), I had goat cheese ravioli, which was to die for. It was amazing and creamy and rich and perfect! Then we went to a little shop selling churros in the park and I got some Nutella churros, which were delicious! Then we went back to the hotel, and I stayed up late reading Hide and Seek by Sara Shepard-- I finished it in one night yay! I fell asleep at around 10:30.
