You don't have to dip your fingnails in the rubbing alchol if you don't want to or if you have fake nails. I did it a few weeks ago and I dipped the news paper in the rubbing alcohol and then stuck it on my nails.

actually i dunno cos you have to dip the your finger in rubbing alcohol and the fake nail might come off

Tip 6:- Newspaper Nails

Things you'll need
Piece of newspaper
Base coat (nail strengthener)
Grey/ white nail polish
Rubbing alcohol
Cotton buds
Top coat
1.Apply a solid basecoat to protect your nails. Make sure to let it dry carefully.
2.Paint your nails in a light grey nail polish color. Let it dry thoroughly before doing the next step.
3.Take the rubbing alcohol.
4.Pour a bit of rubbing alcohol into the cap or into a small jar.
5.Dip each nail into the rubbing alcohol for about 5 seconds each.
6.Take a small piece of newspaper. Press it firmly on your nail for a few seconds.Press the newspaper firmly on to your nail; otherwise, the transferring ink will be incomplete on your nails.
7.Peel it off carefully. You'll find that the ink from the newspaper will be left behind.
8.Get a cotton bud and some nail polish remover to clean up your nails.
9.Apply a topcoat to your nails. This is needed because without it, the newspaper will rub off. It also gives your nail some extra shine.
