~Friday, August 31;
It's Friday. It's the end of the month. That means it's time to head on down to the La Traviata Casino to blow your savings away. Blackjack, craps, roulette...they have it all. Just don't get caught up the glitz and glamor of betting like a millionaire, because you may end up swimming with the sharks. The Loan Sharks, that is.

Jeremy, Isabella, Jeremy, Isabella. Can I just go get some booze and pretend this never happened?

“Don’t you need someone to golf /with/ ?” a man with dark brown hair walked up to me, holding a golf club, and pretending to swing it at my head
“Actually, I don’t have competition..that’s what made me a pro..” I don’t talk to strangers...daddy raised me to be the best, not act like the best
He was still there, just playing around, asking me the stupidest questions.
“Hey...I think I know you. Aren’t you that one girl who writes the paper?” He continued “Erm..Charlotte? Carolyn?”
I gripped my club tight, signaling him. I could easily knock him out if he decided to keep pestering me.
“Clara, Clara Brighton. I’m the daughter of Lyle..and Heather? You may know my father, he makes string instruments, and my mother designs clothing..” I held out the business cards we have for occasions like these
“Oh! That’s right! I’m Jeremy O’Neil. I work with automobiles and that good stuff.” As if I cared...
But then I thought...hmm..he has money..his paycheck must be grand..his home must be more bigger than mine. I guess I see some potential in this Jeremy.
“That’s interesting, Are you thirsty? I’m going to get my lunch in a few minutes..” I lied. I almost never have lunch. I was only hoping he would invite me somewhere, and later, he’d fall into my trap. He’ll pay for my misery.
“Let me take you! I heard there’s a new bakery that opened just around the block. Let’s go then” What a fool, I thought. He’s not so bad. Quite charming and gentle. I guess I could stay with him

I was in the casino with Lula. I had nobody else I'd rather be with at the time. I'm not as friendly as I used to be. I'm not as poor as I was back then.
"So what's been going on with you two?" Talulah continued "It seems like on-and-off..what's the matter!?" she sighed and looked at me
I coughed and thought of excuses I could say...but I couldn't...at least not with Lula!
"Well, doll, ask him! He belongs to Isabella now..I'm no longer in that love frame..and I'm not going back." I had to tell the truth..I'm terrible at lying to friends.
She looked around the room, it seemed we were a little too surrounded by the presence of Adrienne's family, the band, the chefs, everyone in the high-stats was in this very location.
"Aw Clara, forget about that! We're at a birthday party, the least we can do is enjoy ourselves!" she grabbed my hands and pulled me to the table where all the drinks were placed. I reached for a small glass of wine, but that very second a hand stopped me-
"You know..if you're going to booze up, you might as well start with something stronger! Clara, Clara, Clara, you never learn, do you?" I thought it was Jeremy, but it was someone much more familiar..it was Kenneth Vanding, the man I had an affair with.
I smiled and let out a gentle breathy voice "Does it matter? as long as /it/ happens." My heart was pounding..all the memories of him, Jeremy, and all my past relationships were flooding my mind.
