On Thursday I found out that the inventor of TOMS shoes (Blake Mycoskie) went to my school as a senior! Um, so, yeah. If you buy a pair of TOMS (they cost about forty dollars I think) one pair will be given to a child that needs it. Some kids can't even go to school, because of a lack of shoes. In chapel on Thursday the inventor of TOMS Blake Mycoskie said that he started it to give shoes to 250 kids in a city that he went to in Argentina. He put a few shoes in some stores, and then someone from the LA Times or some newspaper interviewed him. He sold a lot more than 250 shoes, so he had to make more shoes - double how many shoes were sold actually :-) and then he started a factory in Argentina to make the shoes and he's sold hundreds of thousands or more I'm not sure how many. It's a really great cause people, and you get a pair of shoes, and they're comfortable and they look cool, so why not buy a pair of TOMS

I just put this in the Experimenters because...I did.
