Ummmmm... these, except mine are in grey & mulberry tones. http://www.mephistousa.com/c/allrounder_womens-shoes_sport-shoes_allrounder-naomi With hand-knit socks made of yarn that's deep blue with a bit of sparkle in it. Did I get it right, sensei?
@sharmarie Thanks, sweetie. Giggling is good for the soul ;)
@sharmarie You are so funny! Talk about talent and wit!!! ❤ I am impressed, jeans are tricky to make. I have sewn a lot, but never tried to make jeans.
Ha, I have the history of denim in my "JEANS"!! Really, only because my mother and I wrote a book years ago on how to make your own blue jeans. But that's history now too with the cost of fabric and notions. Hehehe... Elaine has such a wit. I love WWGD!! Must steal that one! ❤
@sophisty "WWGD?" hilarious!!!! Thanks sweetie you always say the crazy nicest things. Its up there with the MyChanel meetup and matching graphic tees. LOL. Ugh, the '60's pant suit, no no. But Yes Yes on the jacket, Polyvore tee and faded jeans!! Adore. What shoes?? Hugs, Gail
@sharmarie Wow!!! Nothing like a little learning this morning. I had no idea!! I love that , serge de Nimes. Thanks for sharing that delightful bit of history. ❤ Have a great week sweetie.
Okay, now this is REALLY good to know about! I was looking at the dark denim jacket (that I am NOT going to cut up & bleach) and trying to decide whether I could wear it with other denim pieces. "WWGD?" I thought to myself, as I lay out possible combinations on my bed. Would this be okay, or would it look like an (ugh) 1960s pants suit? Been there, done that, NEVER want to see myself in it again! But now you have started all sorts of ideas spinning in my head with this two-tone denim look. Bye-bye... I'm off to my closet to dig up my white "POLYVORE" tee & faded jeans!
One of my all time favourite fabrics -- denim. We need to thank Christopher Columbus for sailing across the Atlantic. For it was the choice fabric used for the sails at that time. The fabric was made in Nimes, France by the Andre family called "serge." The fabric was made of silk and wool, that was woven in the denim twill fashion. This denim fabric was originally called serge de Nimes, which was later shorten to denim. I adore this cool colour block denim on denim. Beautiful set Gail!! I wish you a great week. ❤
