florence pushes past the glass doors welcomed by a rush of warm, coffee scented air that eased the numbness that she had begun to feel in her cheeks after walking outside in the cold. 7:05 on the dot, like always.

their first conversation is over her name. it's unique, old fashioned and he likes it. she smiles shyly, taken aback by the unusual compliment. he still insists on writing her full name where most simply choose 'flo'.

she orders the same thing everyday, sticking with what she knows.

a glance.
a giggle.

blake notices that she comes at the same time every day, ordering the same thing and pays with three one dollar bills. he asks to switch to the morning shift permanently.

he wants to know more about her, but he only has a 2 minute period for them to chat before the customer behind starts to get impatient. and there's always a customer behind her, it's the morning rush.

sometimes she lingers when grabbing her drink from him. dropping the coin change from her order into the little glass jar. meant for him, but hidden behind the anonymity of a casual action.

at the end of his shift, he takes out a quarter and a penny.

it's sunday and he's filling in a shift for a buddy. he doesn't expect to she her, but the bell on the door announces her arrival at 8:32. instead of her business attire, she's wearing a much more casual outfit. the bright color looks good on her. although he's done this at least a hundred times before, he feels nervous taking her order. he pretends to put her usual order into the cash register and takes her three dollars. instead of waiting on the side of the line, checking her phone like usual, she sits down at one of the tables and takes out a book.

he walks up to her table, her cup of coffee in hand. it isn't cream, no sugar in a to-go cup, but rather a latte with a design in the foam. on the saucer sits two coins; twenty-six cents.

i played around with the idea of writing an original story on polyvore complete with character collections, wardrobes and playlists. but i realized that i just don't have the motivation to follow a project like that. i've always preferred writing drabbles so i think i'll be posting more of these. little snippets inspired by pictures and music. some might be fanfiction, some original. feedback would be great & letting me know if you've read it

This is seriously an amazing story. I'm not kidding. I don't write stories on Polyvore (haha, I wish) but I love reading them, and yours is really good.
It has a lot of meaning in only a few words.
That's a gift. :)

I read the story and I think it's a really good idea what you've done and I enjoyed it a lot. It was fun to read it and mix the images from my own imagination to the images in the set ^.^ also it was a really nice little story x
