Occupation: Freelance writer for a local magazine
Bio: Aly may have been born in Australia, but that doesn't mean she ever actually /lived/ there. For most of her life, it was just Aly and her dad. The two were all each of them ever had. Aly's dad was a diplomat who often traveled to different countries, mostly with little Aly in tow. Hong Kong, Bangladesh, Tibet, Taiwan...she's lived in them all. She was lucky to have such an unique childhood since Aly grew up being exposed to things most children never even imagined. This ultimately made her a very cultured, open-minded woman with a thirst for knowledge about other cultures. In fact, this is what made her want to pursue a career as a news reporter. But the untimely and unfortunate disappearance of her father halted all of Aly's dreams. Suddenly, she was left without a home, without money, and without a family...and that's where she found the Boarding House. It was the only place Aly saw fit that would help her achieve her distant dreams. She doesn't like living there, but she doesn't have many other options. So for now, she's going to make best with what she's got while also searching for her father. Unfortunately, Aly keeps feeling like she's all alone--and she sort of is.
Talent/Goal: To be a national news anchor and maybe even have her own talk show.

"Good evening, Perth. We interrupt your regularly scheduled broadcast for breaking news in the new development of the Germain case. Moments ago, recently missing diplomat Charles Patrick Germain was found. We are getting word that he is in good health and is in the hands of the Australian embassy. A press conference will be held shortly and we will keep you up to date on all the recent developments as they happen. Thank you."
"Nice reporter voice."
Aly gasped and turned around from the mirror she was standing in front of, unaware that someone was listening in on her little fantasy as a news reporter.
It was Nolan and he was casually leaning against the doorframe, arms crossed over his chest, with a pleasing smirk flashing across his devilish lips.
"I thought I was alone," Aly sighed, placing a hand over her heart to calm down the rapid beating.
"Apparently not," Nolan replied with a grin. He slowly walked into Aly's room, glancing around quickly before approaching her.
"Well if it's any consolation, you sound like a natural," he said, placing a tender hand on her upper arm.
"Thanks," she mumbled in reply back as she nervously twisted her long locks of chocolate brown hair. She always felt nervous around Nolan. Maybe it was his charming personality? Or his devilishly good looks? Or that aura of danger that followed him everywhere?
"Don't worry, Aly, they'll find him," he said quietly, rubbing her shoulder in a soothing fashion. Aly nodded her head but unfortunately that phrase never seemed to calm her anymore.
Since the sudden disappearance of her father, every person had told her the same thing.
"He'll be okay."
"They'll find him."
"He's a brave man, nothing will harm him."
Little did they know how much she didn't believe them. And Nolan noticed it just as soon as the words left his lips.
"But if--if they don't, don't you dare think that you're alone. Because you're not."
Aly nodded silently and brushed a piece of hair behind her ear. Leave it to Nolan to hit the nail right on the head.
"I'm...I'm just scared," she said weakly, her voice cracking slightly.
"And you have every right to be," Nolan replied, eveloping Aly in a hug. "You have every right to be..."
Suddenly, the ring of a cell phone broke the silence between the two friends.
"Hello?" Nolan asked, snapping the phone open and answering it.
"Hey, Jessica. Lemme call you back in one sec--"
Aly shook her head, ushering Nolan to take the call from his girlfriend.
"I'm fine," she mouthed silently, pointing to the phone as if to say that he should talk to the girl. Nolan hesitated a moment, then complied, thanking her silently as he rushed out of the room, leaving Aly once again alone.
It was a terrible feeling for her nowadays...
