Rachel, it's probably a good idea to try both sizes and return the one that doesn't fit. I have to do that with the shoes and some of the tees. Good luck.

Hi Rachel, I generally wear a 6 in skirts. The 6 in this skirt fits me perfectly; there is not a lot of room in the 6 (really tailored), but, I think the 8 would've been too loose-not as flattering. It actually fits me just like the lattice skirt (if you know which skirt that I'm referring to). I hope this helps.
