VALENTINO Dress

Black dress in a blend of silk and wool. Round neckline, short puffy sleeves. Fitted waistline and flared skirt with box pleats. Two in-seam side pockets. Concealed zipper at back. Silk lining. Made in Italy. Inspired by global folkways, Pier Paolo Piccioli and Maria Grazia Chiuri offered a collection filled with references: from matryoshka dolls, Tyrolean embroidery and hussar frogging to macramé knotting, oriental, Greek motifs to Aran Island Cabling. Combining tradition and modernity, the both glamour and romantic wardrobe fits mothers and daughters, with a mix of maxi volumes, A-line skirts and dresses, as well as capes and jumpsuits. The fabric selection shows a clear tribute to couture with utterly delicate craft work: leather lace work, spider web crochet, embroidered velvet or crystal-sprinkled knits…The color palette revealed monochromes of hypnotic black, Valentino red, cream, beige and dusty pink.
