The original How To book that remained in publication into the turn of the 19th century. Great entertainment to read and many of the recipes are still relevant for today. This book is in readable condition and filled with amazing advice on how to do nearly everything imaginable ! Exterior cloth cover is distressed from age and wear. Book has bumps, chips on exterior and shelf wear. Interior pages have foxing, tanning, water marks and a few rumpled edges here and there. End papers are separating from the front board, hinge is visible on the back board. Pages are still nice and tight and clean. The book is dark green with an embossed illustrative cover that is gilt accented. It measures about 6 7/8 X 4 5/8 and has 384 pages. Almost 150 years old and was self published by the Author in Ann Arbor Michigan in 1867

Works included in this volume are The Tempest A Midsummer Nights Dream The Winters Tale Much Ado About Nothing As You Like It The Two Gentleman Of Verona The Merchant Of Venice Cymbeline King Lear This is a beautifully illustrated book with photogravure reproductions from the Boydell folio edition (1806) They are full page monotone illustrations for each work included in the book. The Navy Boys In New York Bay is a fictional book based on some actual facts. This antique book is a cloth bound hardcover book which still retains the original paper dust jacket. Both show signs of wear over the last 118 years so please see all photos as they are part of my description. The hinges are both cracked and worn on the front and back boards and the previous owner installed a name stamp inside the front cover page. Graustrack is a fictional country somewhere near The Carpathian Mountains in Eastern Europe Truxton King is one in a series of books written by George Barr McCutcheon with stories of court intrigue, royal disguise and romance which take place in the country of Gaustrack after the turn of the 19th century.     This is an antique book published in 1895 by F. Tennyson Neely of London and New York. The author is Captain Charles King U.S. Army. The book is titled Fort Frayne and the story takes place in the wilderness of the Wyoming Territory in the years following a end of The Civil War. This literature could be classified as a war book or a western. It is based on many historical experiences familiar to Captain King as he was a soldier in The Wyoming Territory during his youth. He published many similar works such as A Garrison Tangle An Army Wife Trumpeter Fred and West Point Parallel This book in particular was so popular after the turn of the 19th century that it was made into a Hollywood movie in 1926! This is the 1st Edition of this vintage cloth bound book. It has shelf wear, bumped corners and the fading and soiling appropriate to a book over 121 years old.
