    shophorne.com
Godot is a comfortable and generous sofa series comprising 2- and 3-seater sofas as well as an armchair. The inner "spaces" of the sofa are designed in sizes allowing for a comfortable seating position without limiting the freedom of movement and the freedom to stretch your legs. The soft shapes of the upholstery are deliciously inviting and, also, constitute a marked contrast to the sofa's exterior of more simple and geometrical forms. The interior belongs to the occupant and the exterior belongs to the room. The exterior vertical and rectangular surfaces allow for easy and natural placement of couches along with and close to walls as well as positioned centrally in the room; and, likewise, the feasibility of placing the furniture side by side as well as back to back. This feature makes Godot very usable in private as well as in public spaces. Comes in navy, gray, and dark gray. Upholstered with Hallingdal 65 textile (70% New wool,30% Viscose) or Kvadrat, Gaja C2C Textile (100% Wools of New Zealand)

The Modern Line sofa collection was designed in 1949 by Greta M. Grossman. In Grossman’s own words, the sofa was “developed out of our own preferences for living in a modern way.” Modern Line was also at the forefront of championing Nozag springs, new materials and technology. The sofa was one of the first to use industrialized technology for upholstery of sofas. Priced in Gabriel Tempt fabric (100% Polyester); many other textiles available, please call.
  • Normann Copenhagen Swell Sofa 2-Seater
    shophorne.com
Swell is a minimalistic furniture collection with a playful, light-hearted feel designed by the Swedish designer Jonas Wagell. Modular sofas and armchairs are now available, open up for even more possibilities and combinations in interior design. The Scandinavian simplicity of the design is accentuated by a stringent design without unnecessary details. In spite of this, Swell oozes with character and personality and its soft, curved shapes make it both inviting and provide a fantastic sitting comfort. The name Swell is a reference to rising bread with its full shape, consisting of a robust padded back and seat and two curvy armrests. The stitching on the back and the seats divides the sofas into sections and completes the feel. Jonas Wagell says: ”I've always been fascinated by minimalism, but I like to add a warm and personal touch to the products. I have taken the aesthetic and practical qualities that I prefer in furniture for the living room as a reference point, and in this way, Swell very much reflects my own personal taste and style”. Swell is available in a wide range of colors. The range makes it easy to find a sofa suitable for any decor by encompassing everything from neutral grey and brownish tones to deep and tranquil shades of blue and purple as well as energetic and bright yellow, green and red and a classic black. Design by Hella Jongerius 2005/2015.By Vitra. In the home country of Dutch designer Hella Jongerius, the word 'polder' refers to low-lying flatlands, typically subdivided into fields serving various agricultural purposes, that have been reclaimed from the sea by means of dykes and drainage canals. With their flat surfaces, low-slung body and horizontal emphasis, both Polder sofas evoke the characteristic features of the polder landscape. The large seat cushions of the Polder Sofa form an extremely comfortable, asymmetrical seating surface that is flanked on both sides by the upholstered body. The shape of the body is what distinguishes the two sofas: a low armrest is integrated on one end of the Polder Sofa, while the other is bordered by an adjoining platform that also serves as a storage surface for magazines, books or trays. The Polder Sofa thus offers plenty of space to stretch out and relax, whether sitting or lying down.

    shophorne.com
Onkel (the Danish word for Uncle) is a sofa that combines the simplicity of modern forms with the soft curves of the olden days. The outer shell of the sofa has a firm expression, while the cushions are comfortable and inviting. The choice of materials adds a sensuous side with its characteristically Nordic connotations. The Onkel sofa consists of a simple, upholstered frame with cushions. The inspiration for the cushions derives from the more bombastic upholstered sofas typical of the pre-1950s era. To emphasize the merger of two completely different worlds of expression, the back cushion has been elegantly encapsulated by the frame. The materials in Onkel create a dynamic effect with its plain-colored frame, mottled back and cushion and color-lacquered under frame. All in the same color shade. This is what makes Onkel stand as a complete unit. Simon Legald explains: “As a designer, I am curious about how the materials work together with the idea. Onkel is a sofa that was derived of a dialog between craftsmanship and industry. In creating Onkel, I have revived old craftsmanship techniques and used them in a new context. In doing this, the details add character to Onkel.” Onkel is a recognizable Scandinavian design and is available in three colors both as a two or three-seater sofa upholstered with fabrics from Gabriel.
