  • A Romantic Beach Destination Wedding at Akiin Beach Club in Tulum, Mexico
    More info
Shoes were strictly prohibited at this laid-back beach wedding! For their destination Tulum nuptials, Danielle Amedeo (34 and a voice teacher) and Jason Adler (34 and a financial analyst) wanted to reflect the simple, rustic beauty of the beach and honor the bright colors of Mexico. They dressed up Akiin Beach Club in Tulum, Mexico, with a palette of blush and aqua blues that looked beautiful against the sand and water, then mixed in rustic wooden furniture with greenery and pops of strawberry red. Danielle matched the palette with a blush-colored wedding dress. Danielle and Jason wanted their guests to feel important, so they wrote their entire ceremony themselves and made it interactive—each guest received maracas to make noise during the ceremony and in the celebration afterward. At their cocktail hour and reception, they served Mexican food, such as seviche, empanadas, lime soup and a salsa bar, as well as local cocktails (micheladas for him and strawberry margaritas for her). They also had a mariachi band perform, followed by a DJ who took over to get everyone onto the dance floor. Fresa Weddings helped Danielle and Jason pull off their perfect day, with Joseph Lin Photography there to capture every moment. See the pretty details, below.

    More info
Olivia Palermo is one of the few figures in fashion who has been able to shape-shift between drastically opposing personas. Many regard her as a grounded tastemaker who takes a streamlined Carolina Herrera-like approach to choosing looks, opting for outfits that are more polished than trendy. It is precisely her aptitude for mixing Zara with Givenchy that lands her on the New York Post’s Page Six best-dressed lists. Yet Palermo is also considered a formidable socialite, since the New York-born daughter of a successful real estate developer (dad) and interior designer (mom) regularly does the art/philanthropic event rounds. In fact, she was first discovered as a woman-about-gown when photographer Patrick McMullan snapped her at a charity event. The benefits of a privileged upbringing helped Palermo snag an internship at luxe party magazine Quest and earned her comparisons to Gossip Girl’s Queen Bee character, Blair Waldorf. In contrast, there are Palermo’s notorious appearances on MTV’s
