[[once again, i've been a terribly awful person and posted this story so late. my sincerest apologies. ]]
"Oh you lovely, Winter," Hannah said, smiling as she approached her from the side. Winter turned half around to face the girl and gave a warm smile in return.
"Oh, thank you," she said, glancing behind her for a second before turning her attention back to Hannah. "So do you. That look really suits you."
Hannah gave a polite smile and bowed her head, watching Winter as she once again glanced behind her, as if she was searching for someone.
"I wasn't expecting you'd show up," she said.
Winter shrugged. "Why not? Of course I'd be here," she said sarcastically.
Hannah chuckled and nodded her head in agreement, then watched as Winter once again glanced behind her. "Looking for someone?" Hannah asked nonchalantly.
"Huh?" Winter snapped her head back around. "Oh, no, not really--"
"Oh, she's just looking for Mr. Tall-Dark-and-British," Charlotte said, stepping up to the girls with a drink in her hand and a genuine smile on her face.
Winter hissed and placed a hand over Charlotte's mouth to silence her. In return, she just chuckled and brushed it off.
"Oooh," Hannah cooed, "Who's this that Char speaks of?"
"Nobody. Nothing. It's nothing, really," Winter said, stepping back into place and brushing a piece of her hair behind her ear. Neither Charlotte or Hannah seemed convinced.
It was Charlotte who leaned over toward Hannah and whispered into her ear. "His name is Leo. Leo Holloway," she said.
Hannah's face lit up and her eyes widened in recognition. "Ooh! I know him...or of him. He's gorgeous!" she sighed. "And apparently this really popular actor now. You two would be a good couple: you're a crazy jail-prone alcoholic and he's a recovering one."
"I'm not interested!" Winter sighed, throwing her hands in the air. "And thank you, Hannah," she rolled her eyes.
"That's what they all say," Charlotte muttered to Hannah, who couldn't help but chuckle. This, of course, elicited an angry glare from Winter. Charlotte replied with an innocent smile.
"Who are we talking about?" Cat asked, butting in. She smirked at Hannah and Charlotte before looking at Winter.
"Leo Holloway. Any opinion on him?" Charlotte asked.
"Oh my God," Winter sighed, burying her face in her hands with an exasperated sigh. "I'm going to go get some alcohol and maybe get drunk. I'll see you girls around," she sighed and stalked off.
"What's with her?" Cat asked, pointing her thumb back in the direction of where Winter just left from.
"She's in denial," Charlotte replied nonchalantly right before taking a sip of her drink.

"Excuse me," Winter muttered, brushing past a girl in order to request her drink order at the cash bar: an extra dry dirty martini with extra olives.
"Not a problem," the girl replied, smiling. "Oh, you're Winter Jessop, aren't you?" she asked.
Winter nodded her head. "The one and only," she replied. "And you are--"
"Spencer Gillanders. I think we may have met before," she interrupted, extending a hand for Winter to shake, which she did.
"Ah, yes. Sorry, I have an awful memory," Winter replied.
Spencer laughed it off and shook her head. "It's Hollywood; we all do."
"Here's your drink, Ms. Jessop," the bartender interrupted, pushing the martini glass toward her. Winter reached into her clutch to retrieve the money, but the bartender shook his head.
"Already's been paid for," he said, nudging his head in the opposite direction to were a crowd of people were hanging around the bar. Winter couldn't tell which person the bartender was pointing toward, so she just nodded her head in acceptance and took a much needed sip of the drink.
"Anyways," Spencer said, clearing her throat. "I'll hopefully see you around, yes?"
Winter nodded again. "Yes, absolutely. It was nice to meet you," she said and waved good-bye, glad that Spencer left before Winter subjected herself to getting terribly drunk.
"You know, some people find it customary to say thank you for paying for the drink."
Winter nearly yelped when she turned around to see who had been talking to her. Of course, to her dismay--or maybe it was happiness, she wasn't very sure--standing right behind her was THE Leo Holloway.
"You're a recovering alcoholic, so why are you buying me drinks?" she quipped, raising an eyebrow.
Leo chuckled and grinned, rubbing the back of his neck. "No one ever said I was morally correct," he joked.
"So you're stalking me now?"
Again, Leo laughed. "Or I could just happen to be in the same social circle as you. But that'd be absurd, right?"
Winter pursed her lips and glared at him, not happy that he was poking fun of her. "I don't appreciate the sarcasm," she smirked, "But fine, you're right."
"Planning on getting incredibly smashed at another high-class party?" Leo asked.
"Precisely," she replied. "Care to join me?" she asked sarcastically before taking another sip of her martini.
"No, I think I'm just going to step back and watch you get wasted. It'll be a good laugh."
"Challenge accepted," Winter smirked as she finished off her martini and immediately requested a second.
And hour later and five martinis down found Winter incredibly intoxicated. She stepped back from the bar and stumbled, nearly falling to the ground if it wasn't for Leo who caught her just before her fall. Of course, he would wait until she was just about to crash into the ground before reaching to save her.
"C`mon, I'll take you home," Leo sighed, pulling Winter back up into a standing position.
"Oooh," she cooed, "Taking it pretty fast, aren't we Leo?"
Leo just chuckled and shook his head at Winter as he placed an arm around her shoulder to guide her to the front doors of The Edison.
"I'm fine. I can do this by myself," she slurred, shrugging off Leo's arm and walking in front of him. She teetered to the side and stumbled on her sky-high heels before nearly taking another tumble.
"Oh yeah, you're perfectly fine," he replied sarcastically before helping her once again.
"Well it's your fault I'm like this. You actually let me get drunk. What kinda of a friend are you?" She hiccuped and unwillingly accepted Leo's help, giving him the keys to her Lamborghini.
"No, technically that was your fault and your stubbornness. But I'm glad we're friends now, oh great and wonderful Winter," he smirked. Leo laughed when she gave him another glare.
"Oh shut up and take me home. I think I'm about to pu--" but before Winter could finish, she ran to the side and vomited in the bushes in front of The Edison. Leo followed her soon after, helping and escorting Winter into the passenger seat of her sports car.
The car sped away quickly, screeching against the asphalt as it hit nearly 90 on the highway. Leo glanced over to check on Winter, but by then, she was sound asleep with her head resting on the window.
