With images culled from much transformed photos of horse and riders at a small town 4th of July parade, a lady's tote bag at a Paris art fair, numbers on hotel rooms on the Californian Coast, and paint brush strokes he scanned, Riders Horses 1234 is a bold composition John Denning created for his Horse Play exhibition. it is placed on a transfer sheet, utilizing a printing device with eight colored sublimation dyes. The transfer is then pressed to a specialized aluminum sheet using a large heat press where it undergoes one ton of pressure for 120 seconds at 400 degrees. Under this heat and pressure, the dyes turn into gas and are sublimated into the special coating on the aluminum. Dye sublimation produces dot-less, true continuous tones which appear much like a High-Definition photograph. This application onto aluminum provides a unique translucent quality of luminous vivid colors and the illusion of back-lighting. Limited edition of 5. Framed with a very slick, European thin profile black frame that creates a pleasing distance from the wall. Ready to hang!

  • RFA Fine Art "Rhapsody In Twilight" Painting
A peaceful moment from an earlier era captured on canvas. By artist Claudette. Giclee on canvas. Hand-embellished. Wooden frame. 56.5"W x 2.25"D x 44.5"T. About Claudette: Claudette's artistic history started early: from the time she could walk, Claudette had a paintbrush in her hand. Her natural talent and interest in the arts were fostered by her artistic family (everyone in her family is involved in some area of the arts, from music to architecture to textiles). Claudette's formal artistic education included a year at the Gerritt Reitveld Art Academy in Amsterdam. There she studied the city's architecture and Old Masters' paintings as well as the the modernistic style taught at the school. She received her degree in art from the San Francisco Art Institute and worked both in northern California and the Southwest before joining Rosenbaum. Claudette's work reflects her background in its perfect balance of the old and the new. She feels the strength in her work is "to see the reflections of the past and remember the present," and she achieves this through a mix of both loose and tightly representational strokes as well as by often using a muted palette. She frequently chooses people as her subject because they provide a narrative quality to her work, but all of her paintings tell a story.
