~Hold On, Jonas Brothers [I don't know what's wrong with me but I just listened to the Jonas Brothers all day and starting crying. Something is wrong with me.]
 
On another note, I really love this outfit. It's Louis-approved, right, @twobytwo? And it reminds me of London...and then I found the perfect matching Ginta Lapina pictures and turned it into an SOL set... it all started with the outfit, though. See the stripes on Ginta? It was such a coincidence. The colors in this set are inspired by @luxecouture.

January 30th:
It's a bit gloomy out today, so we're just going to Starbucks for coffee and cake pops. Chat, or maybe even gossip with your bestie.

"See you later, Cecile!" Imogen stood up from her seat to hug me. "It was nice to catch up." she smiled, sitting back down.
 
Francesca looked up at me and waved. "Yeah, it was fun." she said dryly. I could tell she was trying to be cold on purpose. I had overhead that her and Aubrey weren't as rude and "tough as nails" as everyone had assumed. But I noticed something in her eyes that assured me that she actually might have enjoyed my company.
 
Instead of trying to continue the conversation further, I grabbed my Chanel bag and slung it over my shoulder. "I need to get going now. Thanks for the coffee. Bye, girls!"

Where exactly did I need to go? That was a secret; well a secret to my new friends, at least. They didn't know a lot about me. I didn't talk about myself often. I think the only things they know about me, Cecile Devereux, was that I was twenty-two, and that I moved to London from Latvia just this summer. I don't even think they know I'm half-French or that I have an older brother*. And they definitely didn't know that I was trying to locate my father, Josef Devereux, the one and only.
 
My brother Zach lives in Latvia with his girlfriend and their dog. He's kind of weird but he's my brother, and he's incredibly nice, so I love him. He just flew in for the weekend for a top secret mission. The mission being we were going to try to find our father. We decided to meet up at a local cafe.
 
I couldn't recognize him at first. He was dressed in all black and his hair was parted differently. I confidently ran up to him. "Zach?"
 
He turned around and wrapped me in a quick tepid hug. Zach was never a mushy kind of guy so I was surprised that he even hugged me. "Cecile!" he exclaimed. "You look the same." he pouted, after staring at me for a minute.
 
"Um...sorry to disappoint?" I furrowed my eyebrows, laughing. "You haven't changed either, except for the strange ensemble. Explain." I was always more extroverted around Zach.
 
"No, it's just that you live in the city. The /dream/ city. I thought you would have turned into a total airhead or something by now." he said very casually, he pointed to a table and we sat. "What drink are you getting?"
 
I sighed, suddenly realizing how tired I was. "No, I just had coffee like thirty minutes ago. Besides, there is no logic behind what you just said. There are some really cool people here, Zach. Not everyone is superficial and materialistic." He shrugged and ordered his beverage. "How was the flight?"
 
"It was fine. So tell me. Do you like it here? Do you think you could live here for forever?"
 
"Forever is a strong word." I contemplated on his questions. "I don't know. I just want to find our father before making any permanent decisions." I gulped. "You know.."
 
He looked down. "Yeah, I know. So before we set off on our adventure, I have a surprise for you!"
 
"Oh you didn't need to get me anything," I quickly said, feeling bad that I didn't get anything for /him/.
 
"I brought Claire with me." he said flatly, looking at me. That was his surprise?!
 
"Oh."
 
Zach made a weird face. "Why? What's wrong? Do you not like her...still? Aren't you over your high school days, Cecile? You girls always hold grudges." he shook his head.
 
"N-n-no, it's not like that. I don't mind at all." I fibbed. "Where is she?" I frantically looked over my shoulder and scanned the cafe.
 
He took a sip from his coffee. "She's at the hotel. Look, if you don't want her here, you don't have to lie to me. She can stay a friend's or something or go back to Latvia."
 
The truth was that I loathed Claire. She was stupid, utterly and incredibly stupid. I had my reasons for hating her. But she was also Zach's girlfriend, and they had been together for four years and their relationship was serious. Plus, I was looking forward to spending the weekend with my big brother, hanging out and looking for our father. I wanted it to be just us. But it wasn't going to be that way. And I wasn't so heartless that I would make her go back to Latvia.
