Just so this set and multiple mini stories can hold Aly over for some time... (:
Sorry it's not that great. But ooh! I found the real life Ace last night. He's a baaaaanging goalie for an indoor soccer team, just younger. (:
{Big Apple Interns}
{Can Food Drive, December 7th}
"Thank you for your grand donation, Miss Baker," the woman said softly, smiling.
I nodded and turned, Ace slipping his hand around mine as we stepped in the chilly, brisk air. Fresh on my cheeks, it pursued a pink tint in my fingers and knuckles, and Ace's nose and lightly speckled over his cheeks.
He gathered me in his arms as we stood on the curb of the street, keeping me warm.
"How tall are you?" He chuckled, kissing my temple.
"Five six," I grinned proudly.
I turned around and pressed my palms against his warm coat, right near his heart, nearly three layers of cothing under my palm, and a layer of skin, which lay of muscle, then bone, then one lung, then his heart. I was so close, yet so far away.
"You stopped growing. You're not getting any taller."
I sneered at him. "That's what heels are for, dummy. How tall are you?"
"Six three."
"Six three?"
"Mhm," he nodded.
"You're too tall," I mumbled into his chest.
He pulled me along with him, back home. "I'm going against my genetics being this tall, technically. I should have only been six feet, one inch."
I shrugged. "It's okay, because I like you tall. I like you slim. I love you being a former goalie and forward for your varsity soccer team at home. And I love that you couldn't be more perfect for me."
He smiled, but he didn't look down at me so I couldn't see his appreciation for my words, but I could comprehend by the way he gripped my hand tighter subliminally.
We got inside and he bought me to his lap. For a moment, I felt the realness of everything. How I could lose everything within a moment of my life and how I've came close to making that moment trigger.
I felt the realness of having someone who loves me bring me close as they possibly could allow to their heart emotionally and physically.
I had a man, two dogs, several best friends, tons of friends, a family, a home, food, shelter, the essentials. For a moment, everything felt real.

{Cooking Classes, December 8th}
He set down the spoon and peered at the instructions.
"Why the hell did I agree to this?" He muttered violently under his breath.
I laughed and took the bowl from him. I, being the semi-traditional person that I am, learned to cook early on, persumably 6th grade. "Because if anything happens to me, I want you to know how to feed yourself and our children, if there are any."
He rolled his eyes. The instructor came over to us as I rolled the dough onto the cookie sheet in perfect sizes.
"Very good, Libby!"
I nodded, pretending like I didn't know anything.
She looked over at Ace. "Libby," she laughed, "help your fiance?"
I smirked. "Sure thing."
"I can't stand cooking."
I smeared some dough onto his shirt and he looked at me, annoyed. I just smiled, quickly smudged some on his lips, and kissed it off. "It's not that bad," I whispered.
He sneered as I licked the spoon, something that wasn't allowed in the cooking class, but I did it anyways. "Not when you keep putting dirty thoughts in my head," he whispered.

{Rooney Concert with Daria, December 9th}
Daria grabbed my wrist after the concert and ran to the backstage, in the green room, where men were just sitting around, chatting, drinking, some even smoking.
The heavy mixture got to my head. I felt weird being out without Ace, it was like being single again, but with a ring on my finger to prove me wrong. Daria jumped onto Rob, her cousin.
They chatted briefly before people shoved drinks into my hand and I got pretty delusional and tipsy, but not drunk.
Daz took me home to Ace, who caught me in his arms when I stumbled upon his face at the door.
"Aaaaaace," I slurred, grabbed his hand and walking slowing, my eyes heavy, "Take me to the bedroom and do what you do.."
He laughed. "It's 10 and it's a school night. I'm not."
But I gripped his wrist tighter, the floor tipping a little to the left beneath me. I finally found the room and fell backwards onto the bed, where I locked him in place with my legs.
"You know, a lot guys would give a lot to be in the position you are," I smirked.
