{♔} Kyla Walls-
Kyla is loud, opinionated, and can sometimes be a bit rude. Her personality turns people away sometimes; however others like her because she can be so straight forward about things. She is great at arguing and proving her points. But other than that she is a wonderful story teller. She is very creative and can think of random fairytales off the top of her head. She loves fairytales and happy endings.

Slamming the door, I stomped out of the car. My mother stood behind me. “I told you,” I muttered, “that fire was accidental.” Frowning, I tore my bag out of the trunk. Instead of offering to help, my mother kept staring at me like she didn’t even recognize me.

“I want to believe you,” she sighed finally, putting her head in her hands. “Look, Ky, I really want to believe you, but it’s hard. You have…well, you have a long history of lying.”

It was out there in the open now. My own mother calling me a liar. “Thanks,” I said. “Thanks a lot, Mom.” Glaring, I dragged my bag up the rocky drive and knocked on the door. When it opened, I looked back. My mother was long gone.

Sometimes, I wish my life was a fairytale. But my story isn’t like that. Mine goes a little more like this:

Once upon a time, there was a girl named Kyla Wells. She lived in a reasonably sized house with a mother who didn’t know any better and a father who worked too much. She grew up with the boys, and she was barely ever friends with girls.

The guys she was friends with grew up to be the kind of guys who burned ivy and failed classes. Ky wanted to try, so she got perfect grades, but in the end, it didn’t matter. On October 7th, Kyla Wells’s father was killed in a car accident, and it didn’t matter what grades she’d gotten.

So Kyla started rebelling. She wanted to get away from her feelings, so she started to hurt other people. She burnt things, she stole things, she cheated, and her grades dropped. She knew what she was doing was wrong, but she had no other way to deal with it.

One day, there was a fire at Kyla’s school. Everyone thought it was her, and they all sent her away. Nobody wanted to understand her. In a few months, she had gone from top of her class to juvenile delinquent, and nobody even cared why.

But someday, Kyla’s prince will come.

Someday, my prince will come.

Yeah, right. Fat chance.
